Ladies night out to boost respite funds

A LADIES night is being held to raise funds for a local children’s charity which plans to build a respite centre in Copeland.
The charity night takes place on November 17, at Whitehaven’s Marchon Club, at 7pm.
Newcastle band Diesel will be performing Kings of Leon, Take That, Scouting for Girls, the Killers and Scissor Sisters numbers.
The £10 ticket also includes a glass of champagne and nibbles and waiters will be ‘auctioned off’ to wait at tables.
Tickets are available from Kelly on 07429 264295, Dawn on 07813 562973 or Lisa on 07838 250311.
Proceeds from the night will go to Give Us A Break, a charity which is raising money to build a £1m respite centre for disabled children and their families in the borough.
The charity was set up by Moor Row mother Dawn Raynor and a small group of like-minded women.
The centre would allow parents to recharge their batteries while giving their children a break away – somewhere fun that caters for their every need.
