Spotlight on the mental health service

PEOPLE are being asked their views on mental health care.

Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is carrying out a survey with the results used to help the trust highlight areas where they perform well and where there is most room for improvement.

Those who used mental health services between July and September 2011 may receive a questionnaire, asking for their views. They will be asked about various aspects of their experiences, including health and social care workers, medications and day-to-day living and crisis care.

The results of this survey will be published in 2012 on the Care Quality Commission website (http://www.cqc.org.uk/usingcareservices/healthcare/patientsurveys.cfm)

Karen Ashton, head of patient and referrer experience, said: “We hope that our service users will take the time to help us with this survey. Their views are vital in helping us to find out how we are doing and how we can improve. ”
