Nominate your NHS heroes
Published at 11:08, Thursday, 26 July 2012
COPELAND residents are being offered the opportunity to sing the praises of their local health heroes.
As part of a 64th birthday celebration for the National Health Service, the NHS Heroes scheme, launched this month, will honour those who go the extra mile for patients in hospitals, clinics and community care.
Patients, their families and the NHS community can nominate and celebrate the staff members and teams who show exceptional compassion, kindness and skill.
To make a nomination go to www.nhsheroes.com and a presentation event will later be held in Cumbria to honour the ‘heroes’.
