Harbourside Hell
Published at 11:12, Thursday, 04 October 2012
BRAVE competitors are invited to sign up to face Hell on the Harbourside in a unique charity event.
Whitehaven harbour will host the gruelling challenge on Sunday, May 19 next year, in which entrants will test their strength, stamina and endurance in an intense obstacle course.
Among the obstacles lining the event arena will be Heartbreak Ridge, The Cobble Hobble, Power Shower and the Up and Under – all of which have been designed by former military personnel. The event is the first of its kind in West Cumbria.
Entrants have the option to take on two courses; ‘Tough’, which is four miles over 15 obstacles, or ‘A La’al Bit Tougher’, six miles over 20 obstacles.
Money raised from this not-for-profit event goes to the Great North Air Ambulance. Teams and individuals of all abilities are invited to sign up.
The cost is £26 (which includes insurance, medical cover etc). See www.west-lakes-adventure.co.uk.
