Good neighbours: Children help residents
Last updated at 13:28, Thursday, 03 May 2012
GRUB’S up for residents living in sheltered accommodation in Whitehaven thanks to a local school.
Johnson House, at Hillcrest, is having a new extension built for 10 extra people and therefore won’t have a full kitchen facility for about six weeks.
Jericho School has offered to help out and provide residents with hot lunches over that period. Some pupils went along this week to meet the residents and staff and tuck in to a joint meal to celebrate.
