Glass smashed in face

A YOUNG man has been warned he could be sent to prison for smashing a glass in another man’s face.
Callum Dickie, 19, pleaded guilty at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday to unlawfully wounding Ian Wilson in the incident on August 1.
The court heard he admitted striking Mr Wilson in “self-defence that went too far”. Dickie admitted lashing out against Mr Wilson, forgetting that he had a glass in his hand.
Dickie was remanded on bail for background reports, but put under a curfew to keep him inside his home in Leathwaite, Whitehaven, at night.
Judge Paul Batty QC said: “The court will be considering all sentencing options, including custody.”
Dickie will be sentenced on January 22.
