Family bike rides on offer
Published at 15:45, Thursday, 14 June 2012
TWO free family bike rides, organised by the National Trust, are to be held next week in Whitehaven.
The events -- on Monday, June 18 around Whitehaven harbour and coastal Parton (four miles) and Thursday, June 21 to the coastal path at St Bees and back to Whitehaven (eight miles) -- are to be held as part of National Cycle Week.
For both events, families (ideally with children over eight years) should meet at Whitehaven’s South Shore car park at 5.30pm. Snacks can be brought for rest stops and points of interest along the way.
Booking is recommended by calling Chris Gomersall on 07785 22 66 98 or email chris.gomersall@nationaltrust.org.uk,
