THE children at Gosforth School have been making their own Wallace and Gromit style feature film.
The Year 6 class at Gosforth School worked in small groups to make Stop Frame animations using Plasticine characters in the style of Wallace and Gromit. Four groups entered their completed animations into a competition at the ICT Conference held at Rheged, Penrith.
A group of three girls won the County KS2 Competition with their animation entitled Dancing on Ice featuring a penguin called Flapjack and a polar bear called Fudge.
The girls said: “The idea came because we all love penguins and polar bears. We used web cams to take the shots and Windows Movie Maker to produce it. We did 200 shots and it took most of the day. We’re very happy to have won the competition.”
