NATIONAL Trust Rangers celebrated international LowTide Day with a sand-castle building competition at Whitehaven.
Held at the Golden Sands beach, the event saw youngsters gather for the fun contest on Saturday afternoon.
LowTide is a free annual inter-tidal festival and the aim is to offer people the opportunity to explore and celebrate local inter-tidal sites and other aspects of the sea under expert guidance, using a combination of art and science. LowTide is held every year on the Saturday in May with the lowest tide.
