Dance night for teens

NOTHING can burst the bubble for an under-18s dance night.

Rejuvenate, the dance night for 13 to 17-year-olds is back for a second time at the end of the month in Bubbles nightclub, on Tangier Street, Whitehaven.

There are 200 tickets on sale for Friday, January 31, and clubbers will be able to dance to the latest music and drink non-alcoholic cocktails. The dance night will run from 6pm to 9pm with bouncers on the door and no access to the outside smoking area.

Random breath tests and drug searches will be conducted and all entrants will be given a stamp that will be different from the over-18s stamp so there will no confusion or readmittance when the club opens again as usual at 10pm.

Rejuvenate started in December, and organiser and DJ Stuart Wright said: “There is nothing for young people to do anymore, and it would be great to see this under-18s night really take off.”

Tickets (£2) and are available from Threads and Carphone Warehouse on King Street, and Kingdom Hair Design, on the Harbourside.
