Crash closes main road into Whitehaven

THE main road into Whitehaven was closed for over an hour following a car crash.
Two cars collided on the A595, close to the Parton junction, just before 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday).
The collision involved a SEAT Altea and an S-Type Jaguar, both being driven by men from Whitehaven. Neither suffered any injury.
Diversions were put in place and the road reopened at 7.40pm.
