Restraining order for man, 25
A FRIZINGTON man has been made the subject of a restraining order after he admitted harassing two women.
During one episode, West Cumbria Courthouse heard, Mark Fennessey followed one of the women in his car and shouted abuse at her. He also parked his car outside a second woman’s home.
Fennessey, 25, of Newtown, must not contact either victim for two years. He was also sentenced to 160 hours of unpaid work in the community. Costs of £85 were imposed.
Harassment
A RESTRAINING order has been imposed on a Distington man who has admitted harassment.BEN Smallwood, 28, of Bowness Road, Whitehaven, has admitted an assault and threatening behaviour.
Garry Wallington, 51, of Main Street, sent unwanted text messages to a woman and also went to her house.
After his sentencing at West Cumbria Courthouse on Friday, Wallington is forbidden from contacting the woman for two years.
He must also complete a 12-month community order with supervision and pay £85 costs.
Assault fine
BEN Smallwood, 28, of Bowness Road, Whitehaven, has admitted an assault and threatening behaviour.
He must pay a £100 fine plus £100 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Urinating charge
A CLEATOR Moor man has been fined £120 for urinating in public.
Daniel O’Loughlin, 29, of Cross North Street, admitted the offence at West Cumbria Courthouse last week. He must pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Driver fined
AN Egremont motorist has been fined £70 for using a mobile phone while driving.
John Andrew Miller, 42, of The Limes, Orgill, admitted the offence at West Cumbria Courthouse last week. Magistrates ordered him to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Drugs charge
POSSESSING the Class B drug amphetamine has resulted in a man being fined £90.
David Ross Kelly, 38, of High Road, admitted the offence at West Cumbria Courthouse last week. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Speeding fine
DRIVING seven miles over the speed limit has landed a Frizington woman with a £65 fine.
Jane Faulkner, 45, of Rheda, admitted driving at 47mph in the 40mph zone at Howgate.
Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse ordered her to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
