Court round-up

Man on four week curfew

AN Egremont man has been placed on a four-week curfew.

Simon Richard Bell, 29, of Fell View Drive, admitted stealing a Mitsubishi Space Star and using a vehicle without insurance.

Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse also ordered the defendant to pay £85 costs.

Coach driver used mobile

STEPHEN Mark Humphreys, 48, of Ehen Road, Thornhill, admitted driving a Brownrigg’s coach while holding a hand-held mobile. Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse fined him £125 with £50 costs and £15 victim surcharge.

Cannabis fine for man, 31

LEE Stanley Thomas Singleton, 31, of Uldale View, Egremont, admitted possessing cannabis and was fined £65 with £85 costs and £15 victim surcharge by magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse.

Teenager banned

A WHITEHAVEN teenager has been banned from driving for 17 months.

Chelsea Gayle Riley, 19, of Overend Road, admitted being twice over the legal drink-driving limit.

Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse also fined her £100 with £85 costs and £15 surcharge.

No insurance

SHARON Traynor, 41, of Valley View Road, admitted permitting a person to use a vehicle without insurance and was fined £180 with £50 costs and £15 victim surcharge by magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse.

Urinating fine

AFTER admitting urinating in Duke Street, Whitehaven, Lee Mitchell, 18, of College View, was fined £65 with £50 costs and £15 victim surcharge by magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse.
