Assault fine
DAVID Richardson, 39, of George Street, Whitehaven, who assaulted a woman at Whitehaven on May 1 has been fined £65 by magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse. He was further ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.
Lager stolen
KERRY Anne McAvoy, 29, of King Street, Whitehaven stole 16 cans of lager and items of confectionery worth £12.81 from McColls, Harrington.
She was also in breach of bail. Magistrates adjourned the case until August 8 pending pre-sentence reports. Bail was granted.
Drugs fine
A FINE of £75 has been imposed on a Cleator Moor woman for possessing the Class B drug amphetamine.
Charlene Elizabeth Gilhooley, 26, of Fletcher Street, admitted the offence at West Cumbria Courthouse last week.
She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Disorderly charge
A CLEATOR Moor man has been fined £60 for being drunk and disorderly.
Stephen Martin Craig, 50, of Ennerdale Road, admitted the offence which took place on Main Street, Egremont. He appeared at West Cumbria Courthouse last week, where he was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Door damaged
SIMON Robert Messenger, 29, of Irt Avenue, Whitehaven, admitted damaging a front door to the value of £118.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge by magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and compensation to Home Group.
Cannabis fine
ROBERT Gerard Forsdike, 61, of Ghyll Grove, Lowca, admitted possessing cannabis and was fined £70 with a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
