Court round-up

Threatening

A WHITEHAVEN man has been fined £100 by magistrates for threatening another man.

David Nathaniel Hogg, 27, of Bleng Avenue, admitted the offence at West Cumbria Courthouse last week. He was ordered to pay £55 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Phone fine

MAGISTRATES at West Cumbria Courthouse have fined a Mirehouse man £50 for driving while using a mobile phone.

Richard Francis William Donnan, 27, of Meadow Road, admitted the offence. He was also ordered to pay £50 costs and a £15 surcharge.

No insurance

A MILLOM man has been fined £400 for driving without insurance.

Johnny Murning, 39, of Lonsdale Road, admitted the offence at West Cumbria Courthouse last week. The court heard that the offence took place on the A595 Egremont bypass. He was ordered to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Road offence

A MOTORIST has been fined £75 for breaching the road traffic act.

Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse heard that Jordan Musgrave committed the offence in Frizington on New Year’s Eve last year.

Musgrave, 18, of St George’s Terrace, Whitehaven, admitted stopping in a puffin- controlled area. He was ordered to pay £50 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

Act breached

A WHITEHAVEN man breached the road traffic regulation act. Jeffrey Todd, 44, of Ullswater Avenue, admitted stopping within the limits of a zebra crossing at Main Street, Cockermouth.

Magistrates at West Cumbria Courthouse fined him £140 with £50 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
