Costly penny

SPENDING a penny has landed a Whitehaven man with a court bill of £200.
Steven McLaughlin, 27, of High Road, was caught urinating in public – in Senhouse Street car park in Whitehaven – and must pay a £100 fine plus £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. He pleaded guilty.
