Breaking news: Planners throw out controversial windfarm

A CONTROVERSIAL windfarm which drew more than 650 letters of protest has been turned down.
Have your say
Mr Knowles doesn't want the windfarm because he wants super pylons instead. The only reason the Councillors voted against this application is because they prefer nuclear and are making way for nuclear.
Objectors don't be fooled into thinking that the application was thrown out because your voice was heard. Welcome to Dystopia.
Having posted earlier and thinking on things I think the big question is when was Cumbria County Council going to tell us that our area would be covered with super pylons, I think this is more than 6 turbines and personally would make a bigger blight on the landscape and be around for a lot longer.
Ah, the wind of change. Common sense has prevailed regarding wind farms, at last. Let this be the beginning of reclaiming our beautiful countryside that so many people travel great distances to experience. Let the exploiters of our countryside move away because public opinion is changing with regard to these monstrosities.
