Consultant retires after 27 years

CONSULTANT haematologist Dr Nick West has retired from the West Cumberland Hospital after 27 years.

Dr West, who is also a member of Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, was presented with money to purchase a camera as well as a specially-designed glass holder.
His colleague and friend, clinical pharmacist, Ken Ball, said Dr West would be “sadly missed’’.
