Seascale WI
JUDY Hall chaired our April meeting. We had suggested that, as part of the county’s 90th celebration, a rose could be commissioned. This is now happening and we will be able to purchase it soon.

THE monthly meeting was held in Gosforth and entitled ‘Putting your life in order’. It was given by Mary Owens, a solicitor, and David Hopkinson, an independent financial advisor.

Whitehaven Rambling Club
ORGANISED by George Taylor, 44 members recently spent a week on the north east coast. They stayed at the H F Country Hotel, Larpool Hall, with its views out across the vivid countryside of the North York Moors and situated high above the picturesque town and harbour of Whitby – home port of Captain Cook.
