Cleator Moor home to create 60 jobs

AROUND 60 new jobs are to be created when a care home opens in Cleator Moor.
Wyndham Manor Care Home is due to open next month and the jobs will come in a variety of areas, including managers, carers, cleaners, gardeners, laundry workers and handymen.
“We have already had a number of applications in but more people will be taken on as the residents start to arrive,” said a spokeswoman for the owners, Manor Care Homes Ltd.
Manor already has properties in the Newcastle and Durham areas, but this is the company’s first foray in Cumbria.
The 68-bedroom, three-storey development, on Wyndham Court, Wyndham Street, was granted planning permission in December 2008. An open day will be held on March 10 for visitors to see the facilities.
