Class act: extension opens at Arlecdon

COPELAND’S mayor, Coun Peter Tyson, has opened Arlecdon School’s new extension.
Headteacher Phil Harrison said: “The extension has provided much-needed extra space for the Year 1 and 2 class.
“It is a welcome addition as Miss Milliner’s class now has a ‘special’ area for quiet time and reading.’’
The school is also set to perform their end-of-year show entitled “Around the world in 40ish minutes!”
It will include a wide range of dances including Russian, Spanish as well as a touch of Bollywood.
