A 12-HOUR darts marathon will be aiming to raise money in aid of a young Whitehaven boy who suffered a brain infection while on holiday in Spain.
Three-year-old Danny Dickinson was diagnosed with encephalitis in May. He was subsequently flown from Malaga Children’s Hospital to Newcastle General Hospital where he remains.
The charity event will be held at Bransty Legion on November 28, from 8am until 8pm. The evening event, including a disco, will start at 7.30pm. Organised by Angela Hyslop and Dave Weaver, with the support of around 20 West Cumbrian darts players, the marathon will also include a raffle and aims to raise £1,000.
For further information about the event, donations or sponsorship, contact Dave on 07735605068.
