Cap'n Senny's pub to have licence reviewed again

One of west Cumbria's busiest pubs is to have its licence reviewed again – just two months after it was last up before councillors.
Oh for gods sake here we go again!!!....Homer how dare you say that about my home town!!! some of us are educated and have seen the world and worked around the world too so don't stick your nose up at Whitehaven and stop been so bigoted!
If you're going to close down Senny's then you need to provide the younger generation (for example 18-40 years) somewhere where we can go for a drink unitl early hours at weekends....perhaps on a plot on the outskirts of town??
We have hardly anything left of Whitehaven as it is....it's all charity shops, supermarkets and takeaways! Senny's is causing trouble at the moment but could this also be due to the amount of underage people been let in??.... We are not all alcohol fuelled bullies!
Some of us would like to have a drink, dance and socialise until the early hours, as it is the only break we get from working 9-5 all week!
Whitehaven needs a bit of a 'facelift', it needs to attract people in and if tourists staying over have to put up with drunken rowdiness from Senny's then it needs to be adressed. It's time for Whitehaven to take a look at the 'first impression' that tourists get when they visit.

Have your say
It's the last pub on a night out for most people which is why there is the most trouble. It's the same in any other town.
It's the fault of the people causing the trouble not the pub. What happened to individual responsiblity!Posted by John on 9 September 2010 at 14:29
