I have read "online" the Whitehaven News for the last decade or so. Every week I cast my vote as a NO to the almalgamtion with town.. No more.. waken up.. The powers of Yorkshire and Lancashire never wanted success in Cumbria, both on the paddock and in the pit.. I say, bury the hatchet, get together, either on the new ground, or even Borough Park..
Australia rejected Super League and in turn, merged clubs (rivals) and made the game stronger..

Have your say
Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap....all TALK, and everything on the CHEAP. That about sums up the people of the West Coast....if Sellafield isn't involved it becomes a no go. When it comes to the crunch the council get involved and the whole thing is "Kyboshed". Maybe a good thing the games will be staged elsewhere, as why would we want visitors coming to see 2 bit cowboy towns of Whitehaven or Workington. We are back in the middle ages with this council trying to organise/spend money hand over fist with nothing to show apart from an empty pot. If we want to succeed the 60 % who don't vote need to do so and get these amatuers out and professionals in to get the show on the road. A change is as good as a rest, and by god we rapidly need a change.
