Vote for good causes
Last updated at 12:27, Thursday, 29 March 2012
ASDA in Whitehaven is inviting people to vote for a good cause to receive a charitable donation.
The shop’s Chosen By You... Given By Us scheme has shortlisted three local not-for-profit organisations, and it is up to shoppers to determine which one receives £150, £100 or £50.
The organisations are Howgill Family Centre, Whitehaven Harbour Youth Trust and West Cumberland Hospital’s special care baby unit. Customers can vote in store by putting tokens, handed out at the tills, into one of three marked boxes next to the store’s community board.
Voting will take place over the next two months and the donations are funded by the Asda Foundation.
