Two new directors for NDA’s board

TWO new non-executive directors have been appointed to the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s board.
Chris Fenton is group strategy and marketing director for Amey plc. He has been with the company since 2006 and has experience of complex public procurement. Before that he held a variety of senior international positions in the chemical industry.
Mr Fenton read material sciences at Cambridge then completed a Master of Business Administration at Manchester Business School.
Murray Easton – the former head of the BAE Systems (Submarine Solutions) yard in Barrow – is currently an adviser to the MoD, chairman of QiResults Ltd and governor of the Health Foundation. His career includes spells as an executive director of construction company Murray & Roberts, a director at Babcock International Group plc, and managing director of Yarrow Shipbuilders Ltd.
Mr Easton, who lives near Ulverston, was awarded the CBE in 2008 for services to industry and was both chairman of Barrow Vision and a board member of Cumbria Vision in 2008-9. He was educated at Paisley University with a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and later attained an MSc in Ship Production Technology at Strathclyde.
