PR guru Jane urges firms to shout about their success

BUSINESSES have been urged not to keep their success stories in the ‘chamber of secrets’ by a top public relations guru.
Jane Hunt, an award-winning PR practitioner, was speaking at Lakes College at its sold-out first business networking lunch.
Jane, who won the prestigious Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Award for ‘Best Freelance PR Practitioner’ in the country this year, and who also holds the same title in the North West, enlivened her presentation by devising a ‘Potter into PR’ to link it to the world of magic and charms.
She urged businesses not to keep their great stories and news to themselves, and explained how they could make PR work for them as a strong and cost-effective marketing tool.
The feedback for the event was excellent, giving Lakes College a new impetus behind its business event programme. The next luncheon is on December 13, when the speaker will be Ian Irving, from BREESE, who will explain how to unlock customer potential.
Bookings can be made by calling Liz Parkes on 01946 839300 or email lizp@lcwc.ac.uk.
