Firm in country’s top 100

A WEST Cumbria-based family firm of chartered accountants, Lamont Pridmore, is celebrating after being recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 accountancy practices for a third consecutive year.
The survey was undertaken by the leading industry journal Accountancy Age’s annual Top 50+50 survey, which ranks the UK’s top 100 accountancy practices according to factors such as fee income, range of services, growth and the fees generated by each partner.
With 19 per cent growth for 2011/12, Lamont Pridmore remains one of the UK’s fastest-growing practices, bucking a national trend where many firms are seeing a drop in fee income.
Chief executive Graham Lamont said: “We are delighted to have been named as one of the top 100 accountancy firms in the UK for a third consecutive year, particularly when many firms of our size are experiencing reduced income, lost clients and having to make cutbacks. This demonstrates that even in a tough economic climate, Lamont Pridmore is able to compete on a national level.”
