Bike club hits heights

MEMBERS of a bike club scaled the UK’s highest mountains, raising more than £3,000 in the process.
Intrepid explorers from Millom Bike Group completed the national three peaks challenge – climbing Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland. The nine-strong group was presented with a commemorative trophy by the bike club, following its annual social event. The money will go to the Great North Air Ambulance.
