An woman has been fined for failing to promptly notify the government that her entitlement to benefits had changed.
Selina Peckham, 35, of Rowntree Gardens, Egremont, admitted failing to promptly inform the Department of Work and Pensions that her partner was working, which affected her entitlement to Employment Support Allowance.
She appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court and was fined £50, £85 Crown Prosecution Service costs and an £85 surcharge.
She was also ordered to take part in rehabilitation activity within six months.
