Greenbank Community Playscheme has received £1,000 from The Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund.
Money was raised following an annual sponsored walk and is also collected throughout the year from Francis Dunnery fans and friends of the charity.
Mark Andrews, fundraiser for CKDCF who presented the cheque, said the charity was delighted to have helped the playscheme.
The CKDCF was set up by Egremont musician Francis Dunnery in memory of his parents.
A total of £4,000 has also been donated this year to Rosehill Youth Theatre and the West Cumbria Society for the Blind.
