In the lonely territory of Deadwood, Dakota, sharpshooter Calamity falls for cavalry Lieutenant Danny Gilmartin.
Acknowledging the lack of women in the town, Calamity journeys to Chicago to bring back the famous actress Adelaide Brown, but mistakenly brings her maid Katie instead.
The famous 1953 film, starring the wonderful Doris Day, featured songs such as The Deadwood Stage and Just Got in From the Windy City, as well as Secret Love, which won an Oscar for best original song.
Anne Kelly is directing the Whitehaven show.
