A West Cumbrian trader was caught up in the terror attack in the heart of London while collecting an award for her work following Storm Desmond.
Daphne Eddington, who runs Braithwaite's village shop, visited parliament with Copeland MP Trudy Harrison to receive a rural hero award from the Countryside Alliance.
The award was to recognise her work as part of the recovery in the aftermath of Storm Desmond, during which her shop was flooded.
After receiving her award, Mrs Eddington went for lunch with her husband, daughter and Mrs Harrison.
As the horror unfolded, armed police officers ordered the group to run to the central lobby, where they spent five hours in lockdown while the crisis was dealt with.
