A challenge to raise money for Hospice At Home West Cumbria is due to start on Monday.

The charity, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has involved 30 teams in its £30 for 30 challenge.

Teams will receive £30 from the charity, thanks to a sponsorship by Sealy UK, to turn into as much money as possible for the cause.

The challenge starts Monday and lasts for three months.

Teresa McCall, fundraiser for the charity, said: "As the clock ticks the excitement is growing, everyone is eager to get started, which is wonderful.

"I have been to visit most of the teams taking part and the buzz and dedication to the challenge is amazing, and we're looking forward to seeing what all of the teams get up to."

The charity will publish a leaderboard on its website with totals raised by the participating groups each week.
