Performing at the venue will be the five-piece band The Kings Road, with support act teenage singer-songwriter Paul Shepherd.
Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £5.
The Kings Road play music from the 50s to the current day including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who, Joe Cocker and Coldplay.
The band members, from Whitehaven and Workington, are Steve Whetton on lead vocals and guitar; Darrren Teasdale on keyboards and backing vocals; John Spargo on lead guitar; Martin Wilson on bass; and Aaron Parr on drums and backing vocals.
Support act Paul is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Egremont.
The West Lakes Academy student said: “I play the acoustic guitar and sing, and play both originals and covers. I have been gigging for a few years, as either a solo act, duo or a band.
“My influences come from modern indie and alternative bands – Oasis, The Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys and Catfish and the Bottlemen – to archetypal rock and roll bands – The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Nirvana – and DIY-ethic-based post-punk bands such as U2, Joy Division, The Smiths and The Jam.”
A host of music events and other fundraisers have been held at the hall to keep the venue running. Keekle Village Hall is now a registered charity and recently acquired the lease of the building so the committee can now apply for grants, and fundraise, to revamp the building.
This Saturday, an Easter Fair is being held from 2pm until 4pm featuring stalls, raffle, books, plants, cake. Free entry. Afternoon tea is £4.
