Police vans outside Castle Park in Whitehaven
TWO teenagers have been charged with robbing a 16-year-old boy in Castle Park, Whitehaven.
Billy Joe Blacklock, 19, of no fixed address, and a 17-year-old male were charged following an investigation.
Blacklock and the 17-year-old appeared before the magistrates’ court in Carlisle yesterday. The 17-year-old was bailed and Blacklock was remanded in custody.
The case was adjourned to be heard at Carlisle Crown Court next month.
A 19-year-old man from Whitehaven, who was also arrested during the investigation was released without charge. Officers were called to the park at 1.20pm on Tuesday.
Police say they would still like to speak to anyone with information. Call police on 101.
