Matt and Jeffrey Postlethwaite, who relocated to Los Angeles in January, have individually earned places on BAFTA LA Newcomers Programmme, which helps young actors from the UK make their mark in Hollywood.
“It’s a brilliant way of giving us a helping hand in LA,” said Jeffrey.
“You’re allocated a mentor from the industry – although we haven’t learned who ours are yet – and they can answer your questions and you attend seminars, screenings and other events to help guide your career.”
The twins – who starred in the BBC’s Peaky Blinders series – are currently back home in Cumbria and have meetings and auditions lined up, while putting finishing touches to their work on a film, The White King , which is due to premiere next year.
They will head back out to Los Angeles in January for pilot season, where all the major networks cast for their upcoming projects.
