TOP funnymen will be performing in Egremont once again as a popular comedy night returns.

'Cheeky Comedy Night' returns to the Florence Arts Centre stage on Saturday, July 16 with shows from Martin Mor and Junior Simpson.

Headliner Mor has been described as "the one who has influenced me the most" by Frankie Boyle.

With 30 years of experience as a performer he is one of the UK's most popular comedians.

He has performed at the Hammersmith Apollo, to inmates at an Italian prison and to members of the British Royal Family.

Throughout his time in comedy he has supported Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrot, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas and Steve Coogan.

Support act Simpson has headlined comedy clubs across the UK and will perform at Florence after finishing a short American tour.

He has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, I'm Alan Partridge and Top Gear during his career.

Joining the line-up is Stephen Cookson, who started on the comedy trail aged 47.

Previous comedy nights have seen stand-up from Phoenix Nights' stars Justin Moorhouse and Archie Kelly.

The night, which is hosted by local comedian John Lebbon, starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available online or on the door for £10. Book at www.florencemine.com or call 01946 824946.
