MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Whitehaven Castle have raised £425 in aid of Blood Bikes.
They collected the cash over two days at the town's Tesco store.
Elly Day, secretary of the club, said: "This is our Rotary district charity for 2016-17 and the hope is that two new state-of-the-art motorbikes can be bought - one each for Cumbria and Lancashire.
"This charity, run completely by volunteers who are motorbike enthusiasts, is becoming increasingly important, especially in our rural areas.''
And Elly added: "We would like to thank the managers of Tesco and their customers once more for their continuing generosity.''
