Roadworks are set to take place on three sections of the A595 next week.

Highways England is informing motorists about work which is due to be carried out at the Distington bypass, Bigrigg and the Loop Road.

Between Monday and Wednesday there will be 24-hour lane closures switching directions on the Distington by pass for grass cutting, weed spraying, litter removal and inspections.

On the A595 at Bigrigg there will be 24-hour temporary traffic signals in place for routine works, also between Wednesday and Friday.

There will be daytime temporary traffic signals in place on the Loop Road for inspection works between 8am and 4pm on Thursday.
