The working hours will be between 9.30am and 3pm to minimise the disruption for nearby schools.
The road will be temporarily closed while work is carried out.
A county council spokesman said: “The works will be carried out in two phases with phase one starting at the top end of Wellington Row and ending at the junction of High Street.
Phase two will start from the junction of High Street to George Street.
Two-way lights will be in place on George Street to allow the bottom junction of Wellington Row to be resurfaced safely.”
A diversion route will be in operation. There will be access for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles.
On street parking will be severely restricted.
The spokesman added: “It is requested all vehicles are removed from the area during working hours to enable the operatives to carry out the works as quickly and safely as possible.”
