Balloons, snow, bubble wrap and confetti were all part of a sensory colour run held at Mayfield School, Whitehaven.
Pupils walked along a mile-long route, showered in a variety of fun materials, to raise money for Hospice at Home West Cumbria. The event was one of the first sensory mini colour runs in the country.
Stephen Chambers, assistant head at Mayfield School, said: "It was an absolutely fantastic event, an afternoon full of smiles and laughter."
Stella Walsh, fundraiser for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said: "We’d like to thank all staff and pupils for making their Sensory Run such a huge success.
"It was a fantastic afternoon, with a lively atmosphere and lots of smiles all around. This would not have been possible without the support from WYG, Cockermouth, who very kindly sponsored the event and attended on the afternoon. Thanks to all concerned for the support of Hospice at Home West Cumbria.”
Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s 2017 colour run and family fun day will take place this Sunday at Muncaster Castle.
The 5k or 1k courses are open to all ages, genders and abilities.
