Archdeacon Dr Richard Pratt will hold a meeting in St Michael’s Church on Sunday, October 16 (6.30pm) to assess the level of interest in keeping the church open.
The feedback received will influence his response to the Church Commissioners on whether to withdraw the church from the closure process, or recommend it is closed.
Objections to the closure of St Michael’s were received by the Commissioners when the formal consultation started in May, leading to the cancellation of the final service which had been arranged for June.
Previously, the archdeacon said he would speak to everyone who submitted a representation letter – most of which were against the church closure.
