POET Pascale Petit will visit Egremont library later this month to sign copies of her latest book.

She has been working with a group of Copeland residents - aged over 60 - since last August. Over six workshops and four day trips, the participants have explored some of the literary heritage of Cumbria.

They will be talking about their experiences at the library and visitors will be able to pick up a copy of Petit's book Fauverie.

The visit takes places on Tuesday, October 25 between 2pm and 4pm. The group will also visit Whitehaven library on October 19 and Millom library on October 24.

Petit is a Paris-born poet who trained as a sculptor at the Royal College of Art in London. She has published five poetry collections.
