Older people are invited to attend a free health and well-being check in Whitehaven today.
Checks and advice will be on offer from a host of departments from the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics, podiatry and memory matters.
A number of other organisations will also be on hand at the event at Whitehaven Library, including The Carers Association, Citizens Advice, Age UK, Wiltshire Farm Foods, Fir For Life, Alzheimer's Society and the library's hearing aid service.
The event from 9.30am to 2.30pm, is organised as part of UK Older People's Day.
People are invited to drop in for a check-up or advice for themselves, a relative or a friend.
Tracey Mifflin, professional lead physiotherapist at the trust, said: "We're really excited about celebrating Older People's Day and getting out in the community to encourage older people to think about their physical health and well-being.
"It's a great opportunity to demonstrate the role and contribution of Allied Health Professionals and to join up with other teams and organisations to provide advice and support."
