PARENTS went back to school for a special day of singing, scones and sport with their children.
Montreal School hosted 70 parents for lunch, a cream tea and a host of activities on the day.
There was grappling galore in the Year 5 judo lessons, a doo-wop choir session and a chance for the children to put their parents through their technological paces with iPads.
Headteacher, Steve Herbert, said the day was a "great success" and it was a "different way for the school to communicate with parents".
He said that the school often invites parents in to spend the day with their children and are given a choice of the activities they would like to do.
He added: "It gives parents a chance to see some of the things we do at the school and it allows them to meet the teachers in a less formal environment than a traditional parent evening."
It was an action-packed end to the school year with as children put on a Shakespeare-themed assembly to mark the 400th anniversary of the great playwright's death.
The school also held a summer fair to see in the summer. Bouncy castles, sponge throwing, tombolas and a range of food stalls were all available at the annual event.
