A man who tried to deal drugs to two people outside a nightclub has been sentenced by a judge.
Jonathan Stephen Cullum, 26, twice offered "blues and coke" to a female and her friend in Whitehaven in September 2015.
They rebuffed him the first time and when he then made a second request they contacted nightclub door staff who alerted police.
Cullum was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court. He admitted possessing class C diazepam with intent to supply.
He also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of breaching a court restraining order. This was done by trying to call his ex-partner twice on December 8, 2015, having been previously ordered not to contact her.
After hearing Cullum had since moved out of Cumbria to make a fresh start, Judge Barbara Forrester suspended a 20-week prison term for a year.
Cullum, of Calwin Street, Blackpool, must also complete 120 hours' unpaid work and a rehabilitation requirement.
