A man who set up a Whatsapp group with 200 members to offer drugs for sale has been given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.

Andrew Christopher Sisson, 31, of Barngill Place, Distington, admitted possessing diazepam with intent to supply it to others while on post-sentence supervision on August 24 last year.

He also admitted a separate charge of supplying valium on August 19 last year.

Sisson must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £85 costs, as well as an attachment-of-earnings order for £200.
