A MAJOR conference takes place at Westlakes Science Park next week.

The event – Achieving Public Value: a 360-degree View of Project Management – on July 1 is hosted by the University of Central Lancashire and investigates how to get the best value to the public from large projects like new nuclear reactors.

The new chair of the influential Public Accounts Committee, Meg Hillier MP, will speak on the importance of getting the biggest benefit for the public’s money, followed by a live Q&A session from Westminster by video link.

There are also speakers from NuGen, Sellafield Ltd, the supply chain, the Centre for Nuclear Excellence, professional bodes and universities.
