Players from non-league Lincoln City have been wearing the charity’s wristbands ahead of their dream tie with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Also wearing the bands are the team’s coaches, brothers Nicky and Danny Cowley.
Mark Andrews, who is a fundraiser for Danica's Dream Fund and who has contact with Lincoln City’s official photographer, asked if the players would wear the bands in memory of 15-year-old Danica Maxwell, from Egremont.
Her charity, set up after her death in 2010, provides financial assistance to very seriously ill children and teenagers.
